He is a guitarist who has made his mark on contemporary music history. The public's memories of the Jazz in Marciac festival are filled with beautiful memories of his disappearance. Jeff Beck and Johnny Depp performed in Marciac in July 2022.
The look of two old brats, the accomplice eye, Jeff Beck and Johnny Depp had found each other. And it made for some damn good music.
An album titled 18, like the age that these two had the impression of having when they met, was born from their meeting. This was be the guitarist's last opus, in July 2022. The two friends were reunited on a tour in France, including one in Marciac, as part of the process.
Under the big top, Jeff Beck, a rock legend, and Johnny Depp, a phenomenal actor who was not at his first attempt as a rock singer, entertained the crowd for the first time last summer at Marciac.
Flurry of praise
"Legend," "sacred monster," "one of the best guitarists of all time" - when we talk about someone like that, it's usually because they're dead. Jeff Beck, a guitar legend, died on January 10 at the age of 78 from meningitis.
Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton's successor in the psychedelic Yardbirds of the 1960s, has shared his talent with other big names on the international rock scene throughout his career, including Jimmy Page, Brian Wilson, Rod Stewart, Mick Jagger, Roger Waters, Cyndy Lauper, ZZ Top, and even Tina Turner.

The winegrowers of Plaimont and the Cave de Crouseilles invite you to the Vendanges de la Saint Sylvestre 2021 from December 30 to 31 for a New Year's Eve that is out of the ordinary.
During this last weekend of the year, amateurs and enthusiasts are invited for three days of celebration around the AOC Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh and for an exceptional night harvest. Gourmet nugget at the foot of the Pyrenees, Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh has always required a later harvest than its neighbors, to achieve a profile of sweet wine with a unique character.

Jazz in the Heart of the Vines
Plaimont reaffirms its partnership with our festival during Jazz in Marciac 2021 by offering a Jazz concert in the heart of the vineyards. This year, Cuban pianist Rolando Luna will perform for free on July 30 in the bucolic setting of Château de Sabazan. The concert will be followed by a country picnic.
But this year, Plaimont does not stop there: three musical highlights invite you to the Saint Mont vineyard from July 30 to August 1! The Off de Saint Mont is the new unmissable event of your summer. These three exceptional days organized during the Jazz in Marciac festival will immerse you in the heart of the vineyards. On the program: concerts, meals in prestigious places, visits to vineyards, tastings and meetings with the winegrowers.

When the feast of Saint Jacques (July 25) falls on a Sunday, we speak of the year of jacquaire, the holy year of Compostela or the jubilee. The event only recurs up to 15 times per century. It was not until the end of the Middle Ages, in 1428, that we find traces of the historically attested first Holy Year of Compostela.
The very old tradition of this festival was relaunched in 1965. On this occasion, hundreds of thousands of pilgrims from all over the world set out on the paths, some with the goal of arriving in Santiago on July 25.
Many activities will be scheduled on the way to St Jacques.
In Maubourguet:
11 a.m .: Mass animated by young ACE and catechism children
12:30 p.m .: aperitif concert offered by Catholic relief
Followed by a shared meal in the gardens of the presbytery, the pilgrims are graciously invited.
4:00 p.m .:Concert of songs of Saint Jacques at the church with the participation of Lucie Tenet, song and Mathilde Herbaut, song and saxorne, former students of the Maitrise de Radio France
6:00 p.m .: Concert in the garden + aperitif dinner at La Villa Imaginaire (Pilgrim accommodation)
In Marciac:
Exhibition of paintings from churches on the road to Arles and paintings of the Stations of the Cross by Pablo Lameyre at the Chapel of Our Lady of the Cross all day.
8.45am: Saint-Jacques hike, 8 km, organized by the Clap. Free coffee, departure and registration at the Marciac Tourist Office (€ 1).
11 am: mass at the Notre Dame de l'Assomption church, led by scouts from the three French movements.
Picnic in the chapel of Our Lady of the Cross.
Recreational afternoon with sharing of professional career paths by artist Pablo Lameyre and farmers from the region for the benefit of scouts.
The afternoon ends with an exchange between these young people and Jacques Lapart, the President of the Archaeological Society of Gers, on the paths of Saint-Jacques in the Gers.
